hoi! i'm beckett, and i'm a self-taught digital artist and video game creator. i also like to dabble with website design, computer science, media analysis, tabletop roleplay, and more. i've been on tumblr since ~2015, but i tend to delete and remake pretty often.i'm an intersex faggy butch lesbian, and i'm going to be annoying about it too. i use he/him pronouns primarily, and exclusively prefer masculine terminology, but my friends can use she/her or it/its for me too. i'm aiming to start T soon!i'm dolly and sable and orange and kez's lame boytoy.i was raised in a mixed race household, and i am white, boricua, and diné. i'm also a practicing jew, and censor g-d's name as a result. i'm a usamerican citizen for now.i have two degrees in computer science & cybersecurity, though right now i work graveyard shift at a gas station. i play a lot of video games, like a ridiculous amount, like a disgustingly insane amount frankly. if you ever want to play some with me, hit me up. i don't bite. i'm learning diné + dutch, and know a small amount of japanese + spanish already, but not enough to hold a good conversation.

i've got bad hand pain, which results in a lot of typos. i also have schizophrenia, mid-functioning autism, and permanent brain damage, all of which cause me to misspeak and spew word salad. i try my best to be legible, but communication's pretty difficult for me. if you need me to clarify what i'm saying, i never mind trying to - i only ask that you take me in good faith.i try to trigger tag for common triggers, but i'm not very good at tagging more specific things. my activity is spotty, and my honeypot posts are almost entirely queued posts.'beckett' is really comprised of multiple alternate personalities, as i'm professionally diagnosed with DID. mutuals who use simplyplural can add me if they want, just ask for my username.i make an effort to build a space that's safe for people of color (esp. black people) and trans women. if you feel i'm failing in this goal, please correct me. we all have blind spots, and i strive to eliminate mine.i've got strong opinions on a great deal of topics, and i don't think any subject is 'too online' to address. i believe ideas created on the internet have an impact on real world politics, and to ignore that connection is pretty reductive.that said, addressing common tumblr(tm) LGBT discourse topics to filter out followers before i go making posts and getting bigots on them crying about 'infighting':

✧ lesbian means someone who is not a man who exclusively loves people who are not men. unfortunately we are not in a post-gender society, so homos still exist, baby.✧ transmisandry/transandrophobia, etc, is describing transphobia that is not specifically endured by trans men, and trans women are far more marginalized than any other transgender group under the umbrella.✧and while we're on it, shut the fuck up about butch lesbians experiencing ""antitransmasculinism"".✧ nobody on this site knows what bio-essentialism means, and being called a slur isn't an automatic pass to 'reclaim' it.✧ i hate all men and i will not hesitate to state as such, yes, i'm going to kill your jakey. i block people who use that stupid toothpaste pride flag with no hesitation.✧ transfem means something specific, and afab intersex women don't fall under that umbrella, and you damn well know the difference.✧ if you are white, then you are white before anything else. remember this and check yourself.if you're blocked and wondering why, check here.

CREATIONS

like i said, i'm a digital artist and game maker. my neocities website has a full list of things i do, but i do share a lot of information about those projects on my personal blog as well, under the #BCU tag.here's what i'm CURRENTLY working on:

✧ PROLEGOMENON - webcomic. i'm cleaning up some parts of the site i think need cleaning up, stuff that's at least five years old or so by now. i'll resume regularly updating it in early may.✧ GHOST HOUSE - text-based adventure. the images on it all broke because i was stupid and hosted them somewhere else rather than on neocities, so i have the gargantuan task of fixing each and every page for that. wish me luck.✧ LONE STAR - rpg. uh, mostly i'm just doing a lot of conceptwork for it lately because i'm running a TTRPG version of it for my friends :)
